lengthy discussion recommending new arrangements and charges under a 12 year contract. Weekly food and garden waste; fortnightly recyclables or landfill. [Contract for 12 years - incredible!]  See separate posts. [Hard waste matter apparently too difficult - or has it just gone away they think?]

CM 11 – OFFICERS REPORTS FOR NOTING p 81
11A NSW Department of Planning – Issues Paper of the NSW Planning System Review – December 2011 p 81 changes for NSW anticipated with approval

OPINION: Looks to me like a fairly short meeting.

During meetings the gallery is usually polite and respectful. I have only once seen unruly behaviour from us. Sometimes councillor debate is edifying; sometimes tedious; sometimes alarming. Some decisions by Council make us feel proud. Some decisions by Council leave us feeling sad and disappointed. All part of our democracy. All are free to see for themselves.

You and I can read the results of the meeting in the [draft] minutes which will be available towards the end of the week. We will not know what was said by whom - at times that can be a relief. All councillors DO vote [make the decisions]. In most cases the individuals are not recorded.
